Blue Viking Pottery

I am a hobby potter and I have been crafting my skills for almost 20 years.  My design philosophy has been influenced by my early years growing  up on a small farm in Minnesota.  I have always been closely connected to the earth and working  with clay has always seemed very natural.  As a youngster,  I always had mud oozing between my toes.  The texture and feel of tree bark, corn silk, fluffy clouds, chicken feathers, and drifting snow all shaped my artistic experience.  Today, when I throw pots, I pursue clean simple lines and then add texture to recall the memories from those early farm boy days.
